In an 80's (?) book on applied game theory, the authors state that finding the proper strategy begins with being clear on what it is we want to avoid. So: If Trump wins, what do you (anti-MAGA citizen) fear will happen? Get specific. How would your life be affected for the worse? Same the other way around: If Harris wins, what do you (pro-MAGA citizen) fear what will happen? Again, specifics. One example: a tax on unrealized appreciation of non-liquid assets could force the sale of our houses at fire sale prices. (Direr examples could be offered.) Who knows? Maybe we'll find out that we all share certain important fears in common.
